A 500 mm diameter × 10,300 mm long tie rod was machined to replace a fractured component that had taken an 8,000-ton press out of operation.

To minimize turnaround time, we used our 2.5 m swing × 10.5 m long lathe, together with state-of-the-art tooling. The tie rod was machined, fitted, and tested with its nuts, making it ready for installation in just 6 days.

The rapid turnaround enabled the customer to restore press operation and continue meeting its commitments to the automotive industry.
