Specialized Coordination and Machining for a Complete Retrofit

A complete retrofit of an EUMUCO MP4000 press was carried out, beginning with dimensional inspection and assessment of the physical condition of its main components, followed by disassembly to determine and perform the required work.

The scope included adjustments to the crankshaft, connecting-rod and connecting-rod pin bushings, as well as the ram guides. Bearings, piping, intermediate-shaft assembly bushings, shock absorbers, and brake and clutch system components were also replaced. The clutch discs were repaired as part of the overhaul.

Maintenance and assembly of the mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems were then completed in coordination with Thyssenkrupp Metalúrgica, which performed the electrical work. Finally, functional testing, final assembly, and commissioning of the press were carried out.

The entire project was completed in 8 weeks, from initial inspection and disassembly through testing and commissioning, supported by the coordination of multiple technical disciplines and the specialized machining capabilities required for a retrofit of this scale.
